Kegagalan menjana idea baharu yang mampu menangani isu kritikal negara akan memperburukkan lagi cabaran sedia ada, sekaligus menghambat kemajuan Malaysia secara menyeluruh dan berisiko menyebabkan negara ketinggalan dalam persaingan global yang semakin sengit.

Cabaran hidup yang dihadapi rakyat Malaysia  semakin kompleks dan mendesak. Isu sosial seperti keselamatan rakyat dijalanraya, kemiskinan yang masih wujud, ketidaktentuan ekonomi, masalah kesihatan mental, serta keganasan rumah tangga, penderaan kanak-kanak semakin membimbangkan.

Sektor keterjaminan makanan juga masih memberi kesan kepada masyarakat termasuk isu kekurangan tenaga kerja, kebergantungan tinggi kepada pekerja asing, perubahan iklim serta keterbatasan kawasan tanaman yang semakin terhad akibat pembangunan dan perubahan guna tanah.

Selain itu, kos sara hidup yang meningkat dan bencana alam seperti banjir yang kerap berlaku menambah tekanan kepada kehidupan harian rakyat, terutama golongan B40 yang masih bergelut untuk memenuhi keperluan asas mereka.

Situasi ini menuntut tindakan segera dan bersepadu daripada semua lapisan masyarakat untuk mencari penyelesaian yang bukan sahaja bersifat jangka pendek tetapi juga mampan.

Ideologi “belayar tapeh, betiang betis” merupakan bidalan Melayu lama yang menggambarkan keperluan berdikari dan berusaha menyahut cabaran hidup tanpa bergantung kepada orang lain, sekaligus menggambarkan semangat kreatif dan daya usaha dalam mencari penyelesaian. Inilah semangat bangsa yang telah wujud sejak dahulu lagi bagi membangkitkan kearifan lokal rakyat dan harus diterapkan sehingga kini.

Tanpa penglibatan aktif rakyat mencungkil bakat yang lahir daripada kearifan lokal dalam mencipta solusi, usaha kerajaan dan pihak berkepentingan mungkin kurang menyeluruh dan kurang tepat sasarannya.

Rakyat Pemacu Inovasi: Langkah Membudaya Idea Kreatif

Penyertaan rakyat Malaysia dalam IdeaVault amat penting kerana negara kini berdepan pelbagai cabaran kompleks seperti kesenjangan ekonomi, jurang pendapatan, pengangguran belia, dan tekanan kos sara hidup yang memerlukan penyelesaian inovatif dan praktikal untuk memastikan kesejahteraan rakyat serta kemajuan negara.

Tanpa idea dan cita-cita baharu, usaha menangani isu-isu kritikal ini akan terbantut dan boleh menjejaskan kemajuan negara secara keseluruhan. Penyebaran aplikasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) juga sudah pasti akan dapat membantu rakyat Malaysia menyuburkan idea dan solusi yang menarik, bermutu serta praktikal dengan lebih banyak lagi.

Ideavault – The Idea Competition to Shake Up Putrajaya

Ideavault is an idea competition that gathers submissions from all Malaysians across various social strata and ages, which will be contested and showcased in Putrajaya from 4 to 7 November 2025 in conjunction with the Putrajaya Festival of Idea 2025. FOI Putrajaya 2025 will feature the presentation of the top 100 ideas to be evaluated for the best idea that can be realized to assist the industry, government agencies, and especially the Malaysian people. This competition began at the end of 2024 and will culminate at the PICC event.

The country cannot afford to be left behind in the wave of change; hence, the importance of mastering mathematics, calculus, digital technology, and artificial intelligence (AI), as well as discussions on new energy sources, is crucial because traditional energy sources are now being questioned for their potential to cause damage.

Try-Gonna Bee Mobile Apps

It guides inexperienced beekeepers in selecting suitable hive locations. Using GPS data from the Google Maps API, the app identifies areas with dense vegetation, indicating a high greenery ratio suitable for hive placement. It also utilizes built-in sensors (gyroscope, compass, camera) and a luminance detection algorithm to determine if the site avoids direct sunlight.

The Try-Gonna Bee app includes a honey tracker function to remind beekeepers of tasks. A user study involving bee experts and non-trained users evaluated its accuracy, usability, and user experience. The study revealed that the app accurately determined greenery ratio and luminance level, outperforming novice users in hive installation judgments.

Sistem Teknologi Bio Paddle Mengesan Radiasi

Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) dengan kerjasama Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) mengambil satu langkah ke hadapan dalam membangunkan sistem dengan kaedah yang tepat dalam pemerolehan data yang berkesan. Sistem ini dapat membantu saintis untuk mengukuhkan lagi langkah-langkah pencegahan radiasi bagi tujuan keselamatan angkasawan di Stesen Angkasa Antarabangsa (ISS).

Menurut ahli pasukan penyelidik, Prof. Madya Dr. Noramaliza Mohd Noor berkata, radiasi yang terdapat di angkasa merupakan salah satu cabaran terbesar yang membahayakan angkasawan kerana waktu penerbangan yang panjang di angkasa menjadikan mereka terdedah kepada kepekatan tahap radiasi yang tinggi.  Tambah beliau, teknologi yang dibangunkan oleh sekumpulan penyelidik dari Fakulti Kejuruteraan, UPM ini, merupakan satu langkah proaktif bagi memastikan keselamatan angkasawan dipantau melalui pengesanan data yang tepat untuk mengurangkan pendedahan kepada radiasi.

The invention is plant based nano emulsion solution, a novel non-toxic germicide agent against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Acinetobacter baumannii infection, which is a common threat to public health but with limited therapeutic options. The formulation is also effective in killing viruses including human coronavirus OC43 (hCoV-OC43) in vitro which is a beta coronavirus under the same group as the SARS-CoV-2. It also exhibited good antioxidant properties. Thus, making the invention as unique which be used as dual therapy in managing the infections.

This technology shows better yield of microorganisms that cause infections, than the currently used agar. This agar also has the potential to be a cheaper alternative to the blood culture bottle system that laboratories use to overcome the challenges in growing microorganisms.
